Bologna’s Giacomo Tedesco Desperate To Secure Vital Points Against Palermo
Tedesco may want all three points against the Rosanero in the forthcoming clash, but he would love to wear their colours again one day...
Bologna midfielder Giacomo Tedesco is relishing the upcoming home clash with hometown club Palermo, and he hopes the Felsinei will quickly bounce back from a 2-1 defeat by Roma.
“We must prepare well for this game, which will be very difficult because we face a strong side,” the 33-year-old said to TRM.
“We will try and pick up points for the relegation battle. I think [we] are stronger than we were last term - there is more strength in depth and plenty of quality in the squad.
“Unfortunately, we were taken aback by Roma’s second on Sunday and were unable to react.”
Tedesco represented the Rosanero from 1994-1997 and admits he is hoping to return to Sicily and link up again with his brother Giovanni.
“It is my city and it doesn’t get better than wearing the shirt of your hometown team,” he explained.
“I played for Palermo when I was roughly 20-years-old and was inconsistent. But it would be different now as I have gained the maturity and the experience I was lacking back then.”
