Il Corriere Dello Sport report the captain is expected to return to the training ground at Trigoria later today. He may get a run out, but there's a chance he will be restricted to working in the gym as heavy rain has been affecting the surface on the pitch.
Voices around the club are suggesting he should be back playing towards the end of the month, probably in time for the game against Bari at the Olimpico on November 22.
And there is further good news for Totti, as his new contract is expected to be rubber stamped later this week.
According to reports, the captain has already met with president Rosella Sensi and has discussed the terms of his new deal. He will sign a five year deal worth €5million per season. Details over his future beyond 2014 have also been ironed out. The move is expected to be made official by Friday.
