And, after his teams' 3-2 victory in the Bernabeu two weeks ago, the much-maligned Brazilian was sounding confident about the Rossoneri’s chances, both for this match, as well as for the entire tournament.
“I expect a great night of Champions League for the entire team and I want to do my best for this team,” affirmed the superstar to Milan Channel.
“Milan can win the Champions League? Yes I think so, Milan is a great team with a great history in the Champions League. I think that we can do well, it’s difficult but not impossible,” he added.
Ronaldinho then responded to a question about his possible recall to the Brazil squad in time for next year's World Cup.
“A return to the national team? I don’t think about anything else apart from Milan, I think about doing my best here, then returning to the national team will come naturally, but my priority now is to do well for Milan, then we’ll see about the national team,” he stated.
In tonight's game, Ronaldinho will probably line-up behind his fellow countryman Pato and veteran goal-poacher Pippo Inzaghi as Milan look to take another step towards qualification to the knock-out stages.
