Mirko Vucinic: Precious Result For Roma
The Giallorossi returned to winning ways as they came from behind to beat Bologna yesterday in the 12th matchday of Serie A...
Roma forward Mirko Vucinic expressed his satisfaction for the three points achieved by his side on Sunday afternoon as they defeated Bologna 2-1 at the Olimpico stadium on Rome.
Vucinic also succeeded in scoring his first goal of the season but, for him, the win was more important than his personal form.
"The important aspect of this day was not my goal, I didn't need to remove a weight nor free myself from a curse," declared the former Lecce player to repubblica.it.
"What matters is that we found back the win.
"This result is still more precious if we think about the fact that Bologna took the lead, we had personality and character at not being overcome by bad thoughts."
However, Vucinic does not seem to think that the decision of the club to go on a training camp in the past few days helped.
"If the training camp was useful? Absolutely no, for nothing," he commented.
Roma will be facing Inter away from home on Sunday and they will be hoping to prove that they are still a top four team who can compete for a Champions League spot.
