Tonight Milan beat Parma 2-0 at home and finally reached a more respectable position in the table, as they are now in fourth place.
Coach Leonardo was happy with his team's performance and the fact they are now back in the upper echelons of the Serie A table.
"I'm very satisfied. We scored quickly, we could have closed the match earlier but we were able to suffer," he said to Repubblica.it.
On Marco Borriello, who scored a brace tonight after a year-long goalscoring drought, the coach said: "The important thing is to have alternatives to be able to make changes according to the situations. He scored two goals, one of which was great, he's a player who will give us a lot."
Asked whether Borriello or Filippo Inzaghi will play against Real Madrid on Tuesday night in the Champions League, he said: "The important thing is that I can choose, everyone has had their space and they will continue to have it.
"Milan's objectives? It's obvious that we're thinking about the Cups, but we have to grow in terms of our football, and gain more consistency."
