Fiorentina Should Be Higher Up In Serie A Standings - Cesare Prandelli

The Viola coach has shed some light on the injuries of Adrian Mutu and Stevan Jovetic...

Cesare Prandelli - Fiorentina (Grazia Neri)
Fiorentina deserve a higher league position, according to coach Cesare Prandelli, and must beat Catania on Sunday in order to prove this on the pitch.

"The squad is annoyed," Prandelli is quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport.

"We want the three points in order to retake a place in the table where we are competing and that we deserve."

Adrian Mutu and Stevan Jovetic are carrying slight injuries and Prandelli revealed that he was reserving judgement on their fitness until the last possible minute.

"Adrian has a slight inflammation to his knee injury, and, together with the physios, we are trying to ascertain whether he will be able to be used tomorrow.

"As for Jovetic, he has a swollen big toe and we must also think about his situation."

The Gigliati face Catania at 15.00 CET tomorrow at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
