The Colombian international thanked God for what he has been able to achieve, and also provided some insights into the side's recent clash.
"I am very happy with this honour," Cordoba told the club's official website, inter.it. "And more so because they are 400 matches played with the same team.
"I thank God for all that he has allowed me to do with this team.
"I won't hide my disgrace as a defender, as we allowed three goals to be conceded in quick succession tonight.
"During the match, we could have thought about a 4-0 win, but every opposition has their qualities, and we could not stop the danger of their strikers.
"As players, you always have to think that this can happen, as there was lots of tension when it was 4-3, and it was at that moment that we showed our character, and went for a fifth goal, which calmed us down.
"Now we have to do well on Sunday, and winning at Livorno will be the best training session to prepare us for the Champions League clash in Kiev [against Dynamo Kiev].
"Livorno will have lots of determination to do well, and with a new coach, they want to illustrate this," Cordoba concluded.
