The Nerazzurri were up 4-0 at half-time thanks to braces from Samuel Eto'o and Mario Balotelli, but the Rosanero made a match of it in the second half, when they managed to score three goals in 15 minutes.
"This is football, and one cannot be distracted at any moment because the opposition can put you in difficulty and compromise a result," the Argentine told Inter.it.
"Matches last 90 minutes, and today we remembered that we are a 'crazy Inter'. In the first half, we saw a fantastic Inter, as we put Palermo in some difficulty.
"We created lots of opportunities, having had the right mentality and concentration, but then after the break, we conceded.
"Now, there is no time to rest, as from tomorrow, we need to think about Livorno. We will be ready for another tough match," Zanetti concluded.
The night was also special for the Inter captain, as he surpassed club Legend Giacinto Facchetti for the most appearances by a Nerazzurri player. He now holds the record at 447.
