The hitman pounced in the 93rd minute to seal a memorable comeback and steal a point for his side after they had gone 2-0 down early in the game. Rossoneri hitmen Filippo Inzaghi and Alexandre Pato seemed to have put the game beyond doubt, before goals from Luca Cigarini and Denis did the business for the Azzurri.
"We fought until the end and I am very happy for the result we obtained," Denis told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"The most important thing is that we continue like this and get the results. The spirit of the team was important, especially in the second half.
"I am happy with my goal and I would like to dedicate to my family."
Denis is hoping to earn a regular place in the team, but knows the competition is rife.
"I know it's difficult to find space especially when there are strikers like Fabio Quagliarella in the team," added Denis.
"However, I am tranquil and I will wait for the coach to give me my chance."
