Fabio Cannavaro: A Much Needed Win For Juventus
The Bianconeri turned in their most impressive performance of the season last night by hammering high-flying Sampdoria...
Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro was extremely satisfied at the end of his side's 5-1 thrashing of Sampdoria on Wednesday evening, a result which saw them cut the gap between themselves and Inter down to one point, although Inter play tonight.
Despite the massive win, Cannavaro was still not fully happy as the Bianconeri ended up conceding a goal in what was otherwise an almost perfect match.
"A win like this was needed to confirm the latest results and to cancel some criticism which we received," declared the Italian international player to tuttojuve.com.
"We have recovered the spirit and the will to fight until the end. I liked the team a lot tonight.
"The new tactical setup? Apart from that, I also like the interpretation of the game from everyone and the will to recover the ball, also from the attackers.
"However, as a defender I'm angry, because we have conceded a goal."
Juventus will now host Napoli on Saturday night in the 11th matchday of Serie A, knowing that the Partenopei are still unbeaten since Walter Mazzarri took over as coach.
