Milan's Gianluca Zambrotta & Alexandre Pato Disappointed With Draw Against Napoli

Milan cost themselves a chance to win against Napoli, after leading 2-0 with only a couple of minutes remaining, thanks to goals from Filippo Inzaghi and Alexandre Pato that were both scored within the first six minutes of play.

But the Azzurri were able to equalise, and share the points at the San Paolo in Naples.

Two players that believe Milan should have walked away with their third consecutive victory in the league are defender Gianluca Zambrotta and goalscorer Pato.

"We played a really good first half, especially in the first 15 minutes," the defender told the club's official website, ACMilan.com. "In the second half, we could have played for the three points.

"We should have gone after a third goal to close out the game.

"One must also remember that we had a sending-off [of Ignazio Abate], which complicated the situation somewhat.

"These experiences will serve us well in the future," Zambrotta affirmed.

As for Pato, he was not happy with the ultimate result of the match.

"I can't say that I am happy with the result, but I am happy to have scored and continue to play my role," the Brazilian continued.

"It's a shame that the side lost concentration, as we could have closed the match out in a different fashion.

"Napoli played well in the second half, but we could have won, and it is disappointing," Pato affirmed.

Milan's next opponents will be Parma, who leapfrogged them into fourth place in the standings after beating Bari 2-0.
