Lazio Director Igli Tare Calls For Calm Following Protests
Tare has been forced to speak out after the dramatic scenes of Tuesday. He has promised fans that things will get better if they can maintain their patience...
Around 200 supporters displayed their anger against president Claudio Lotito and coach Davide Ballardini because of the team's poor form in Serie A. Explosives were thrown into the training ground as players raced to safety.
"We have to look forward and I am asking everyone for patience," Tare told Puntosport.net. "We have brought in players with experience, as well as ones from the youth team, so our project has to pass through them too.
"Lazio have an important history and one of our desires is to be competitive and win the Scudetto in future.
"It was a choice not to intervene in the [summer transfer] market, but the defender who will arrive must add value."
Tare will hope his promises of winter action yield results amongst the club's restless supporters.
