Sampdoria Captain Angelo Palombo Eager To Win Against Juventus
Although he is aware that three points won't come easy, the Doria skipper wants his side to pull out all the stops so as to go top...
Sampdoria captain Angelo Palombo is keen for his side to move to the summit of Serie A by beating Juventus on Wednesday night.
The Blucerchiati are two points above the Old Lady in the standings and will go temporarily top of the table if they win in Turin.
Palombo believes this is his biggest game in a 'Doria shirt thus far, and he is eager to mark the occasion.
"If we exclude the Coppa Italia final in May, tonight's game is the most important since I have been a Samp player. We are second in the league, but we could be higher," Palombo told Tuttosport.
Despite the confidence in Genoa, Palombo knows victory will not be easy to earn.
"We have the chance to play on an equal level with a great team who will fight until the end for the Scudetto. Our objective is to do well so our dream can continue. It will be an intense game," he noted.
