Juventus Confirm Vincenzo Iaquinta Surgery Is A Success
The hitman's faces just over a month on the sidelines after undergoing an operation to his knee...
Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta has been told he will be out for 40 days after the club confirmed surgery to his meniscus on Tuesday was successful.
The hitman had injured his knee during a training session on Saturday as the team prepared for the Siena clash. Iaquinta didn't appear to complain at first, but the injury worsened during the evening. Having missed the game on Sunday, he had tests on Monday, when it was decided he needed surgery.
A statement on the club's official website reads, "This morning at the Fornaca Clinic di Sessant, Vincenzo Iaquinta underwent surgery to his external meniscus to his left knee and it was performed by Professor Flavio Quaglia.
"The surgery lasted an hour and was a perfect success. The prognosis for recovery is 40 days."
