“For me it was an honour to wear the shirt of a club that is so important,” Eto’o stated in an interview, as reported by Inter’s official website Inter.it.
“I left Spain with my head held high, but now I have moved on from there and am happy at my new club.”
Many have speculated that his relationship with club president Joan Laporta was one of the main reasons he decided to leave the Spanish giants.
He continued, “My relationship with Laporta? I always had a direct relationship with him, in that if I said something, we would be able to discuss it like men.
“I am so very satisfied at Inter again though, and I am working extremely hard to be available for the upcoming game against Barcelona.”
