SIENA
Curci - 6: Aside from picking the ball out of the net once, it is difficult to think of a single save Curci had to make this afternoon.
Terzi - 6.5: While he made no impact going forward, Terzi was not troubled at all defensively as both De Ceglie and Molinaro failed to hurt him.
Ficagna - 7: Very confident display by the centre back, who gave away very little and produced a superb block on Trezeguet early on.
Brandao - 5: Lost Amauri for the winning goal, and also allowed Chiellini to get away from him in the first half. Aside from this he was good, but football is decided by the big moments.
Del Grosso - 6.5: Steady if not spectacular down his side. Coped well with Camoranesi in the second half.
Vergassola - 6.5: Led by example and was tactically smart, although his negativity meant that Siena spent most of their time defending.
Codrea - 6: Put himself about in midfield, but was also too often thinking about going backwards rather than forwards.
Ekdal - 6.5: Showed promise against his parent club. Some nice touches, although he was denied by Buffon for Siena's best chance.
Jajalo - 6.5: Some inspired moments, including the pass for Ekdal. Sadly didn't see as much of the ball as he would have liked.
Maccarone - 5: Chased a lot of balls, but Chiellini was too powerful for him and matched his pace.
Calaio - 5.5: Worked very hard in attack, but was comfortably shackled by Chiellini and Legrottaglie.
Subs
Rosi - 6: Carried on the sound work of Terzi.
Reginaldo - 6: Perhaps should have been given more time.
Paolucci - N/A
JUVENTUS
Buffon - 7: Produced a brilliant save from Ekdal just before half time. Aside from this had nothing to do.
Grygera - 6.5: Did nothing wrong in the first half from a defensive point of view, but was subbed at the break for Caceres.
Legrottaglie - 7: Solid showing by the 33-year-old alongside Chiellini. Handled the threat of Maccarone and Calaio well.
Chiellini - 8.5: Looks to be back to his best, and was a rock this afternoon with one brilliant tackle on Calaio. Missed a headed chance before half time.
Molinaro - 5: While he had nothing to do in defence his contribution to the attack was awful. Virtually every cross or pass he attempted failed to reach a team-mate.
Poulsen - 6: Kept things ticking in midfield, but adds no quality to this Juventus team and this will not be sufficient against stronger opposition than Siena.
Felipe Melo - 7: Excellent in the first half where he was the dominant force in the centre of midfield. A little sloppy after the break.
De Ceglie - 5: Not so long ago De Ceglie was tipped by some to become the 'new Antonio Cabrini'. We can safely say that he is unlikely to be half the player the 1982 World Cup star was.
Diego - 7: Without always being involved, Diego was the only player ever likely to create for Juventus today. Assisted Amauri's goal, and also made the chance for Chiellini.
Trezeguet - 5.5: A rather anonymous figure in attack. Laid a few balls off but, aside from one blocked shot early on, was rarely a threat.
Amauri - 7: After ending his drought last week, appears to be finding his confidence again. Scored the crucial winner, and held the ball up well.
Subs
Caceres - 6.5: An aggressive 45 minutes, sometimes too aggressive.
Camoranesi - 6: Wasn't at his usual creative best, but he looked like Maradona compared to Molinaro.
Sissoko - N/A
