Napoli striker Fabio Quagliarella believes that the club can snag a Europa League place by the end of the season as he lobbies for improvement.

Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis has asked the players to push for a top-six finish, and the striker believes that can be achieved. Quagliarella is urging his side to maintain their new-found taste for points after last week's win against Bologna.

"The team has all the potential to finish within the top six, but it all depends on us," Quagliarella told Sky Sport Italia.

"Us players get on the pitch, and we have to follow the coach's tactics. The coach [Walter Mazzarri] has been working hard on this and he wants to base the game on plenty of crosses."

Quagliarella admires team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi, but believes Milan's Alexandre Pato is the best finisher in the league.

"Lavezzi? There are many strikers here, but the partnership is going well. I do have a weakness for Pato though. He is a phenomenon."

With the nettle of reform seemingly grasped at Castelvolturno, Quagliarella is hoping to transfer the positive atmosphere into three points against Fiorentina this weekend.

"We have not won away from home for a long time. We hope to change that and win the game against the Viola, though it will not be easy," concluded the hitman.
