Roma Stranded At Heathrow Airport Due To Italian Strike
The Giallorossi are still in London after Thursday night’s match with Fulham, and this afternoon’s training session could be cancelled.
LaRoma24.it reports that the Lupi are stranded at the Heathrow Airport and are anxiously waiting to board a flight to return to the Eternal City.
Italy’s transportation network came to a halt this morning as public sector workers, including air traffic controllers, stage a 24-hour strike.
Roma decided to break with tradition after last night’s match at Craven Cottage and opted to remain in the English capital instead of making an immediate return home.
Barring any new delays, they are now expected to land at Fiumicino Airport at 12.50 CET.
Coach Claudio Ranieri had scheduled an afternoon training session at Trigoria, which is now likely to be cancelled.
