Juventus Eye Manchester City Defender Pablo Zabaleta - Report
The Old Lady are reportedly looking at the City defender with a view to signing him in January. However, he is just one of a number of players to be associated with the Serie A giants lately...
Old Lady coach Ciro Ferrara has asked for reinforcements, and the focus is on a right-back. Il Corriere Dello Sport claims the 24-year-old Manchester City stopper is being followed by the Bianconeri. It is said Zabaleta is worth €5 million and that he holds an Italian passport, despite his status as an Argentina international.
However, conflicting reports in Tuttosport claim Juve are keen on Marco Motta of Roma. That report suggests a possible swap deal, in which Cristian Molinaro would head the other way. Giallorossi coach Claudio Ranieri likes the Juve man and could be enticed into a deal.
The other names to be linked with the Bianconeri are Rafinha of Schalke, and Emmanuel Eboue and Bacary Sagna, who both play for Premier League side Arsenal. Hoffenheim's Andreas Beck is said to be in with an outside chance.
Despite the reports, Juventus have not confirmed any interest in the players who have been linked to them.
