Bologna’s Marco Di Vaio Takes Blame For Napoli Defeat - Report
The veteran striker rued his missed chance in front of goal...
After suffering defeat at the death as Bologna were cruelly denied a point by a rejuvenated Napoli side, Rossoblu hitman shouldered the blame as he spoke to SkySport in the post-match interview.
“I missed an incredible opportunity in a key moment of the game,” he declared.
“Had I have scored we probably would have brought home the spoils. I take full responsibility for this afternoon’s defeat which I feel we didn’t deserve.
“We leave the San Paolo empty handed but full of desire to bounce back next weekend. We thought they would have caused us more problems at the back, but by mixing it around in attack it was us who caused more danger in front of goal.”
The defeat leaves Bologna third from bottom with just six points from the opening eight rounds.
