I Have Never Been Close To Rejoining Lazio – Milan’s Massimo Oddo
The Rossoneri defender has discussed how he has not considered a return to his former club.
The defender joined Milan from Lazio back in 2007, a club where he captained, and made 135 appearances for in a five year period.
Having struggled to hold down a spot in the first team in his time at Milan though, the former Biancocelesti skipper has been continually linked with a move back to the Italian capital; however in a recent interview he denied these claims by suggesting that he has never been close to returning.
“In the summer, it was reported that Milan were keen to sell me at any cost, so people started saying that I was going back to Lazio,” Oddo explained to Radio Incontro.
“This was more the work of the media and the newspapers though, as I have never been in solid contact with the president, or anyone else associated with them.
“I’m happy here, and I will work hard to find my position at the club.”
Oddo’s team are set to meet Roma this weekend, in a crucial clash at the San Siro stadium.
