The boss of the Giallorossi discussed the injury situation at his club.
At the completion of the Giallorossi’s less than convincing display, their coach, Claudio Ranieri, discussed the conditions of his injured players, who are vying for a return to the squad this weekend.
“It was a good match, as it was played at a fast pace, therefore making it beneficial for Doni, Cicinho, and also for others,” Ranieri explained in an interview, as reported by forzaroma.info.
“Julio Baptista played a good second half, so this is another positive for us to come from the game.
“Doni? He did extremely well in the first half especially, and we will assess his situation in the next few days. I will speak with him, and then we’ll make a decision from there.”
The captain of the club, Francesco Totti, failed to take part in the clash, as he remains in serious doubt for this weekend’s trip to the San Siro.
He continued, “He is working every day in the gym, and he is receiving treatment on a regular basis, so let’s hope he can make it on Sunday.
“It’s still too early to know whether or not he and [Mirko] Vucinic will play, but both players are very positive, and want to be there at all costs.”
Roma and Milan are set to do battle this Sunday, with the play scheduled to get underway at 20:45 CET.
