I'm Ready To Play Again - Inter Defender Marco Materazzi
Inter defender Marco Materazzi has recovered from his thigh injury and is ready to come back on the pitch.
Inter defender Marco Materazzi has fully recovered from the muscle injury to his thigh he suffered at the start of September.
The former Italy international claims to be completely available to coach Jose Mourinho, who will probably include him in the squad for this weekend's match against Genoa.
"I'm ready to restart once more," Materazzi said on his official website. "I am ready now. After the injury, I initially had a period of rest and then started to work again with serenity, without having any rush.
"I have been training with the squad for a few days now, so I feel ready not just to train with the other players but also to play."
Materazzi has suffered a number of injuries over the past few years, but despite being already 36, he's showing no signs of giving up. However, he is no longer one of Inter's first choice defenders, and last season he made just eight Serie A appearances.
