Bayern Munich Striker Luca Toni Enthusiastic Over Possible Napoli Future
The Italian hitman has hinted he would move to Napoli if a call from president Aurelio De Laurentiis arrived...
Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni has offered his services to Napoli as he seeks an escape route out of the Allianz Arena.
The hitman is not having the best of times at the club after being frozen out for much of the campaign. Toni admits he would like to return to the peninsula, and he wouldn't mind joining Napoli.
The lure of forging a partnership with Ezequiel Lavezzi and Fabio Quagliarella is being seen as a palatable opportunity by the striker.
"An attacking trident with Lavezzi and Quagliarella? That would be good. Fabio is a great player, and everyone knows 'El Pocho'," Toni told Radio Kiss Kiss.
"Napoli are an important club and the president wants to do big things there. The fans are also great. If they call me? We will see what happens."
The Italian has widened the remit of moving in the hope Bayern offer him regular football, but he will consider a quick return if his voice encouraging a change remains unheard.
"It's a 'so so' period at Bayern right now. We will see what happens soon. Italy would be my first choice if I was to leave," concluded the striker.
