Tommaso Rocchi: Lazio Needed The Win Against Levski Sofia
The Biancocelesti defeated the Bulgarian side yesterday to take an important step forward in their quest for Europa League qualification...
Lazio forward Tommaso Rocchi had a very good game and even scored a goal during his side's 4-0 win against Levski Sofia on Thursday evening in the Europa League group stage.
This result and performance brought a smile to face of Rocchi and the Biancocelesti, who can now look more positively towards their season, following a series of under par performances.
"I'm happy to have played a good game, just like the entire team did," declared the former Empoli player to lalaziosiamonoi.it.
"We needed an important result, and I think that the merit was ours in facing very well this game and having the right concentration and determination of having come here to obtain a full result.
"Today it was important to win. It's an important result for the morale, it's important for the Europa League because now we will go to face a delicate clash like the one in Florence."
As Rocchi suggests, Lazio's next game is on Sunday away to Fiorentina in the seventh matchday of Serie A.
