This performance partly made up for some poor games played by the Brazilian in this early part of the season, and he has admitted that he knew he had to do better.
"I must continue like this, also because I still have a lot to be forgiven about," explained the former Empoli player to sportmediaset.it.
"However, I'm happy about the performance and the win. This performance will surely help me to improve. The most important thing is to never give up.
"Right now, going on the pitch at the Olimpico is not an easy thing, but you must have the right personality. I'm 30 years old now and I must have the ability to react.
"I must also thank the team, without whom a player, on his own, cannot do anything," he noted, in conclusion.
Lazio will now jump back into Serie A action and face Fiorentina away from home in the seventh matchday of Serie A.
