Lazio Were Far Too Strong For Levski Sofia – Coach Davide Ballardini
The Aquile boss believed that the result was never in doubt against the Bulgarians.
Lazio bounced back from their disappointing defeat at home to Salzburg on the opening matchday, by smashing four past Levski Sofia in Bulgaria on Thursday night, to record a convincing 4-0 victory.
The coach of the Biancocelesti, Davide Ballardini, was thrilled with the result, as his side picked up their first win in five matches, with their previous triumph coming over a month ago.
“We played a great game tonight. We controlled the play, and defended really well right until the very end,” Ballardini stressed to Sky.
“When we had possession of the ball there was a lot of quick movement, and quality within our play. It went well.
“We were much better than them in the first half, but to their credit, they did attempt to respond in the early stages of the second half.
“Once we scored the third goal though, I knew the match was over, as we were too strong for them on the night.”
Lazio will be hoping to continue their winning form in Serie A this weekend, when they travel to Florence to take on a red hot Fiorentina side at the Artemio Franchi stadium.
