Roma President Rosella Sensi: New Stadium Underlines Big Ambitions
The president of the Giallorossi expressed her delight at announcing such a grandiose scheme, which has been in the pipeline for several years...
President Rosella Sensi gave a glorious speech at the official unveiling of the club's project. The chief claimed the new ground will lead the club in the right direction, drawing a very positive reaction from those present.
"Our aim is to build a stadium for families. My father [Franco Sensi] and Dino Viola had put the new stadium at the centre of their programme," an emotional president said, according to La Repubblica.
"I apologise for these emotions, but for us this an important milestone that represents a point of arrival."
The stadium will be named after Sensi's father and it will be built in the Aurelia district of Rome - several kilometres west of the Vatican City.
The venue will have a capacity of 55,000 and is being touted as a structure worthy to represent the Italian capital.
