Mourinho has taken a swipe at Del Neri after last night's defeat against the Blucerchiati.
Last season, Jose Mourinho's Inter suffered their most humiliating defeat at the hands of Atalanta in Bergamo, where they were outclassed 3-1. The Orobici's coach at the time was Luigi Del Neri, who inflicted another defeat on the 'Special One' last night, as his Sampdoria side beat Inter 1-0.
The Portuguese coach did not take the defeat well, and after someone suggested Del Neri is his bogey man, he gave a scathing response.
"My only bogey man is my assistant coach, no one else," Mourinho told Sky Sport. "If I remember correctly, Del Neri replaced me at Porto and was sacked fifteen days after his appointment.
"Yesterday he won, tomorrow he will lose, the day after that he will draw. Also last season he lost with Atalanta at San Siro against us after winning at home, today we lost, that's football."
In response to that, Del Neri was quoted as saying: "If he said that, he should have kept his mouth shut. We won with merit, against a great side, we did it with a lot of running, but also with a lot of quality."
