thumbnail Hello,

The Doriani transfer guru says the Nerazzurri battleship fired harmless shots…

Sampdoria moved to the top of the Serie A table yesterday after inflicting a first defeat of the season on Inter, as Giampaolo Pazzini netted the winner in a hard-fought contest at Marassi.

Blucerchiati sporting director Beppe Marotta could barely contain his excitement after the match and even poked fun at the Beneamata.

“It’s a great feeling and I would call it a win of the ‘poor art’” he enthused on Sky Sport Italia.

“That’s a suitable metaphor, because we manage to get the best out of what we have at our disposal.

“We did well in trying to score until the very end, they had a battleship at their disposal, but only fired harmless shots,” he continued.

Samp President Riccardo Garrone was also all smiles after the encounter and Marotta has urged him to cherish this moment.

“Yes, he should savour it, because winning against Inter does not happen often,” he concluded.
