thumbnail Hello,

The hitman is over the moon following his goal against Inter...

Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini is ecstatic with his match-winning strike against Inter.

The hitman was on form and, more importantly, on target. His goal on 72 minutes was enough to break Inter's four match winning streak, and send his side back to the summit of the Serie A table.

There was plenty of back slapping after the game as 'Doria celebrated a memorable win, leaving Pazzini with thoughts of his own.

"The goal was very important here at this stadium which was sold out. We beat Inter who were ahead of us in the table coming into the game, and now we are top, it's a great night and a big result for us," Pazzini told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

The result leaves major-scale significance on Sampdoria's season thus far, but Pazzini is keeping his feet on the ground.

"What does this result mean? We can carry one as normal," added the hitman.

"We were not brilliant tonight but we played a great game against a big side, it wasn't easy. But we put our hearts into it and we were able to get the result. We are satisfied."
