Juventus Will Be Very Tough, But We Are Optimistic – Livorno Coach Russo

The boss of the Amaranti has spoken about his side’s upcoming fixture.

Livorno-Rimini - Serie B (Grazia Neri)
Livorno will travel to Turin this round, to take on Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin. It will be a tough ask for the newly promoted club, however their coach Vittorio Russo is optimistic in the lead up to the clash.

“We will play in Turin with the mindset that we want to win the match,” Russo explained in an interview, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.

“We will do all we can to try and stop the Bianconeri, and see what happens from there. After that, we will then think about our next opponents Bologna.

“We know that it will be very difficult against Juventus, and we know that we will need to play a great match to attain some points.

“Their injuries do not calm me in any way, because if one player is out injured, then they have another replacement, such as a player like [David] Trezeguet.

“Ciro Ferrara has a great squad that are full of champions, so whoever plays for them will be very tough.”

Juve and Livorno get their clash underway Saturday evening at 20:45 CET.
