Davide Santon: I’m Staying Put At Inter

The Italian wing-back has ignored the advice of the Azzurri captain.....

Inter starlet Davide Santon watches the action from the bench
Despite the advice from Fabio Cannavaro it seems that the young wing-back has clear ideas on his future. After the comments of the Juventus centre-back outraged Inter coach Mourinho, it appears that Santon is focusing solely on giving 100 percent for the Azzurri and the Italian champions.

“I want to stay at Inter and all I’m thinking about is playing for the Nerazzurri,” he declared to GazzettadelloSport.

After featuring for the final 30 minutes of Italy’s unconvincing win over Georgia on Saturday night, the rising star then commented on Lippi’s decision to push him further up the field.

“This time I played as a winger and I have no problems with that. It’s up to the coach to make the decisions and I will always try to do the best I can.”

Santon will be hoping for some more playing time as La Nazionale take on Bulgaria in Turin on Wednesday evening.
