The Italian player is facing the prospect of a season on the sidelines, if he doesn't find a club soon.

Gaetano Fedele, the agent of Lazio defender Guglielmo Stendardo, explained his client's position following the end of the transfer market on Monday night.

The agent, who also has Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro as one of his clients, said that the Biancocelesti player is unsettled in Rome and would like to leave, even if it meant going abroad.

However, with no offers made to Lazio, Stendardo risks remaining in Rome for the entire season, whereby he will be forced to sit and lookon from the sidelines.

"For the time being the player will remain in Rome," explained the player's agent to Calciomercato.it. "In the coming hours we'll see what we can do.

"Obviously going abroad is a welcomed destination.

"Arab football? We'll see if something like this comes out.

"What is certain is that for the time being Guglielmo will remain in Rome."

The 28-year-old player has played a total of 52 league games and scored four goals during 2005 and 2008, with the last two seasons spent on loan at Juventus and Lecce.
