Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has confirmed that the Bianconeri's work on the transfer market is complete and that there will not be any last minute signings.

The Old Lady were expected to sign full-back Fabio Grosso from Olympique Lyon on the last day of the summer transfer window, but according to Cobolli Gigli there is no truth behind this speculation.

"[Sporting director Alessio] Secco has closed the transfer market? Yes, it's true," declared Juve's president to Sky. "Tomorrow nothing will happen."

Cobolli Gigli then went on to comment about Juve's main rivals for the Scudetto, Inter.

"There was no doubt that Inter is the team to beat, and yesterday's game proved this. I saw a devastating team. Inter structured itself more this year and is surely well directed by a competent coach.

"They are the main candidates for the Scudetto and it's for this reason that once in a while I hope that some team stops them.

"I'm not an enemy of Inter, I'm a Juventus fan. The word 'enemy' is a strong one and in football it should not exist."

Juventus jumped into first place for the time being, as they defeated Roma 3-1 in the Eternal City.
