Official: Bari Sign Diamoutene From Lecce
Newly-promoted Bari have signed defender Souleymane Diamoutene from Lecce, and are reportedly aiming for Genoa striker Luciano Figueroa next.
On the day of their first home match of the Serie A season against Bologna, Bari have finalised the signing of defender Souleymane Diamoutene from Lecce, after he spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma.
The 26-year-old joins Bari on a loan deal, although they will be allowed to keep the player permanently if they manage to stay in Serie A.
The Pugliesi have been reinforcing themselves lately, as only two days ago they secured the services of midfielder Massimo Donati, who joined from Celtic.
However, their transfer campaign may not be over, as according to Goal.com Italia, they are also after Genoa striker Luciano Figueroa, who's currently struggling to find playing time amid heavy competition at the Grifoni from the likes of Hernan Crespo, Sergio Floccari, and Rodrigo Palacio.
They may have to beat competition from Bologna, but the good relationship between Bari and Genoa's management could give the newly-promoted side the edge.
