Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini Stings Jose Mourinho
As the Mourinho - Lippi row dies down, another war of words is on the horizon as Zamparini hits the 'Special One' where it hurts...
The Rosanero welcome Napoli for their Serie A opener on Sunday. Optimism is high in Sicily. Walter Zenga claimed his side can win the Tricolore, but Zamparini is being more modest.
"I am very curious to see how the team get on. How would I translate my enthusiasm in terms of the standings? Juventus first, Inter second, Milan third and then Palermo," Zamaprini told La Repubblica.
Zamparini's prediction, like Marcello Lippi's on Sunday, when the Italy coach claimed Juve would win the title, is likely to sting Mourinho. The 'Special One' claimed Lippi showed a lack of respect to his side. 'Zampa' can't wait to see Mourinho's reaction this time as he provokes the former Porto and Chelsea coach.
"I like it when Mourinho gets angry, but what counts is the trust in my group and the work from Zenga," added the president.
"As for the game on Sunday, both teams are ambitious, and I am sure it will be a great game."
