Cagliari Want Juventus' Lorenzo Ariaudo - Massimo Cellino

The young defender is in the Rossoblu's orbit, as declared by the president of the club...

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino admitted that his club want to sign promising Juventus defender Lorenzo Ariaudo on a loan deal for this season.

Apparently, his initial request has been turned down by Bianconeri president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, but Cellino is still hopeful that the Old Lady might change its mind in order to benefit the player's professional growth.

"I like him [Ariaudo]," admitted the Sardinian side's patron to tuttomercatoweb.com.

"I had asked Cobolli Gigli about him some months ago, and he replied that for the moment they had no intention of selling him, but if they did, they would have taken into consideration the idea of giving him to us.

"I think that at Cagliari he could find the ideal environment to grow further."

The 20-year-old player is seen as a hot prospect for the future. Last season he made his debut in Serie A, going on to make a total of three appearances.

At Cagliari he would be guaranteed more minutes on the playing field, but with the Bianconeri he could work and learn from veteran defender Fabio Cannavaro and maybe one day follow in his footsteps.
