Scudetto? Ask Marcello Lippi - Arrigo Sacchi
Sacchi joked with some Inter fans during his visit to Appiano Gentile on Wednesday afternoon.
In fact the Nerazzurri fans asked him whom he thought would win the Italian league title, to which Sacchi tried to avoid the answer with a joke, dragging current Azzurri coach Marcello Lippi into the equation.
"Who will win the Scudetto? I don't know, I don't bet, but you should ask Lippi," Sacchi declared mischieviously as he was caught on camera by Sky.
His comments came two days after Lippi had caused some commotion when he replied to the question of a journalist regarding who would win this year's Scudetto, replying that he thought it would be his former team Juventus.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho took offence at this answer and has started a war of words with the World Cup winning coach, and it seems that it will drag on for a few days yet.
Sacchi's answer was probably a way to lighten if not defuse the situation following this clash which arrives before the Serie A season even kicks off.
