The newly promoted Bari have expressed interest in Juventus’ Sergio Almiron, who recently returned to the club following a season on loan at Fiorentina.
The Pugliese are keen to add some depth and experience to their squad prior to the new campaign, so they are eager to strike a deal with the Bianconeri for the Argentine’s services.
“I know that the club are interested in having Sergio as a Pugliese player, but I cannot say anything until the Matarrese family decide to make a move,” Almiron’s agent explained to Tuttomercatoweb.
“I personally can say that I have not been in contact with Bari for the sale of Almiron. So for the moment, even in light of these rumours, he will be a Juventus player for the next three years.
“This deal should start with a loan move though, as it would be beneficial for everyone involved.”
Bari kick off their 2009-10 season with the toughest of trips, as they will face the reigning champions Inter at the San Siro stadium.
