I Did Not Want Alessandro Rosina - Zenit St. Petersburg Boss Dick Advocaat
Thew new acquisition is not a welcome addition in Russia, according to the 61-year-old
Zenit St. Petersburg just completed the signing of Torino star Alessandro Rosina on Friday, but coach Dick Advocaat does not believe the Italian is a good addition to the squad.
"Rosina? I did not want him at all," he surprisingly claimed in a press conference.
"It was [sporting director Igor Korneev] to take him. I'd asked for two or three strikers instead and they bought him without consulting me."
The former South Korea coach claims he had other preferences and the club ignored his suggestions for new acquisitions.
"I am disappointed, as this is the first time in my life that a club has bought a player without my consent. I don't understand why the club doesn't listen to me. I know how to invest the money gained from the departures of [Andrey] Arshavin and [Anatoliy] Tymoschuk."
The Dutch coach will be taking control of the Belgian national team in late fall after signing a two-year contract with the World Cup hopefuls.
