Ignazio Abate's Agent Dismisses Talk Of Transfer From Milan To Roma

There is nothing in the links with I Lupi, according to the Milan player's agent

Milan's Ignazio Abate has been linked with a loan move for next season, having spent last year with Torino in a co-ownership deal.

The 22-year-old's agent had suggested that the Giallorossi were the favourites to sign the flying winger, but he has now changed his tune and dismissed that possible move.

"Abate to Roma? There is nothing to say about it. I have never had any contact with anyone," Claudio Pasqualin revealed to calciomercatonews.com.

Stefano Guberti has been putting in some impressive performances during pre-season with Roma, which may have cooled the Lupi's interest in signing another winger - if indeed there was any initially.

Meanwhile, Abate has been involved in Milan's warm up matches and could find himself a part of the Rossoneri's first team plans next season if Leonardo chooses to pursue the idea of lowering the first team's average age.
