Juventus To Decide Sergio Almiron’s Future After Mid-August – Agent
The Argentine’s representative has admitted that his client’s future will most likely be sorted out towards the end of the transfer window.
While press reports in the peninsula suggest this morning that Sergio Almiron is on the verge of leaving Juventus, with Bologna in pole position to secure his services, the player’s agent insists the 28-year-old will not be departing Turin any time soon.
“Real discussions over the potential transfer of Sergio will begin after mid-August,” agent Claudio Vagheggi admitted to Tuttosport.
“Finding an agreement in July is complicated, because of summer wages that no one is willing to pay.”
Almiron arrived at Juve from Empoli in 2007 with great expectations, but he failed to establish himself in Piedmont and was loaned out to French side Monaco in January 2008.
He spent last season on loan at Fiorentina but only mustered 11 appearances for the Viola, who opted against making the move permanent this summer.
Besides Bologna, Almiron is chased by Atalanta and Livorno in Italy, as well as a few Spanish clubs.
