In a new twist, Cruz may not be edging closer to the Giallorossi after all...
Julio Cruz was released from Inter well over a month ago now, which consequently has left him without a club as we near the commencement of the 2009-10 season. With only a few weeks to go until the new campaigns in Europe get underway, Cruz will be desperate to reach an agreement with a club as soon as possible.
It has been rumoured over the past few days that the Argentine hitman has until Thursday to agree to terms with Roma; however, the player's agent, Jorge Czysterpiller, has revealed that he is still yet to be contacted by the capital club.
“In the transfer market, there are no decisive days, nor weeks, as we have until August 31 to make a move,” the agent affirmed in an interview with Calciomercato.it.
“Roma? No one from the Giallorossi has contacted me about my client.”
This turn of events could reignite the interest of both Lazio and Napoli, the other two Italian clubs that have been linked with the former Nerazzurri star.
