Following the high-profile sale of Felipe Melo, it seems like Pantaleo Corvino is working overtime as he looks to complete Fiorentina’s summer transfer campaign in the coming days.

As the Viola remain in negotiations for Arsenal’s Emmanuel Eboue, the Viola’s director of football is hoping to secure the goods within 48 hours as he looks to beat Manchester City to the Ivorian full-back.

According to FirenzeViola.it, Corvino is ready to turn attentions back to Benfica’s Luisao following a negative assault on Roma’s Brazilian stopper, Juan. The Viola’s own press agency has recently reported a positive agreement between the club and player, but in reality it seems the difference between Fiorentina’s offer and Benfica’s demands is still in the region of €4 million.

With the upcoming Champions League preliminaries fast drawing near, the Viola will be determined to secure their defensive targets as they look to complete the squad for a testing season ahead.
