Simone Pepe Happy To Stay At Udinese
The Italy international has reiterated his desire to remain at the Friuli and hopes Di Natale and D’Agostino will do the same.
And so has winger Simone Pepe, who was also linked with a move away from the Stadio Friuli before the Confederations Cup.
“With the exception of Quagliarella, we are still the same team and that’s important because it gives continuity to our two-year work,” Pepe told Sport Mediaset.
“I hope D’Agostino and Di Natale will stay put. As for me, a few teams have indeed showed interest, but I am settled and the club knows that.”
Pepe has become a regular feature in Marcello Lippi’s Italy squad in recent months and is obviously hoping to travel to South Africa for the World Cup next summer.
“My first objective is to do well with Udinese, then the Mondiale will only be a result of that,” he concluded.
