Liverpool Have Not Contacted Me About Alberto Aquilani - Agent
Aquilani's agent has denied interest from Liverpool for the player.
Despite being a homegrown player like club icons Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi, Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani has often been at the center of transfer rumours.
The latest reports indicate that Liverpool are keen on the player, but according to his agent Franco Zavaglia, he is currently only focusing on his rehabilitation following the ankle surgery he underwent on May 13.
"Alberto is doing well," he said to Romanews. "This week he will be cured in Rome and then he will visit professor Van Dijk, who will have to give him the OK to train on the pitch again. He hopes to be back for the first matchday of the new season.
"Liverpool? They haven't contacted me. I don't know anything about it, for now there is nothing concrete."
Aquilani made his debut for the Giallorossi in May 2003. Since then he has made 102 appearances for Roma, scoring nine goals, and since after the last World Cup he has also featured for the Italian national team.
