New Lyon Signing Cissokho Slams 'Bad Experience' With Milan
The 21-year-old claims his transfer to Italy failed because of economic reasons and he says he is happy to be playing in Ligue 1...
Lyon left-back Aly Cissokho is pleased to have joined his new team from Porto, after his move to Milan failed earlier in the summer. The starlet did, however, express disappointment towards the Serie A giants.
"It was an awful story that I lived through, it was a bad experience," he explained, according to tuttomercatoweb.
Everything looked in order, but Milan then announced that the player had failed his medical because of a problem with his teeth and the move broke down. However, the defender has suggested that the problem was not physical but financial in nature.
"Sometimes in football, problems arise for economic reasons, but now I am at Lyon, a club that I immediately agreed to join," said Cissokho.
The French giants signed the former Vitoria Setubal player for €15 million, the same price as the proposed deal with the Rossoneri.
Another Milan target, Luis Fabiano, recently made similar statements, saying he was 'taken for a ride' by the Italian club, who at one point looked sure to sign him from Sevilla.
