Fiorentina Sign Jose Castillo From Lecce - Report
The Florence-based outfit have brought in the experienced South American hitman...
Fiorentina have added another name to their attack, bringing in Lecce striker Jose Ignacio Castillo, according to Sky Sport 24.
The Viola have been searching for a capable back up to Alberto Gilardino to add depth in the striking department after the departures of Giampaolo Pazzini and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo last January, and seem to have found their man.
The 34-year-old managed six goals last season with struggling Lecce, a team that were relegated to Serie B by the end of the season. His signature will cost around €1 million and he will sign a two-year deal.
The player is expected to have his medical on Monday and then join his team-mates at their pre-season retreat in Cortina.
Before joining Lecce, Castillo had been a consistently high scorer in Italy's lower leagues, with Gallipolli, Frosinone, and Pisa.
