According to Tuttosport, the former ballon d’or winner was served only applause despite fears he was to be lambasted following some voices of discontent since his transfer from Real Madrid.
With cries of ‘welcome back’ and ‘Cannavaro alè alè’, Don Fabio was slightly taken aback by the demonstration of affection from the supporters when he spoke to journalists following the session. “That was great. Now all I’m thinking about is working hard to get into form as soon as possible. I hope the fans will appreciate my professionalism,”
Despite his calm introduction into pre-season, it remains to be seen how ‘Canna’ will be welcomed, when he steps out in front of Juventus’ most ardent supporters at the Stadio Olimpico next season.
